"They walk right in."

My kids love it there. They often walk right in to begin playing immediately.
Kayla genuinely cares for her dayhome kids, and I trust her abilities and judgement completely.
When my son took an interest in trains, Kayla signed out library books about trains for him to look at. We love seeing the kids come home with full cups and lots to say about the day.

SENSORY BIN WORKSHOP · ZOOM OR IN PERSON

Beyond the Bin

Sensory bins don't have to be messy, expensive or overwhelming. In 60 to 90 minutes, I'll walk you through why bins matter in early childhood, how to build one with my Sensory Bin Formula (tray, base, add-ins, tools and an invitation to play), and how to handle the mess, the cost and everything in between.

HI, I'M KAYLA

Educator. Mom. Professional mess-maker.

I've spent over 15 years with young children, in preschools, inclusive classrooms, out-of-school care and as a nanny. When my youngest daughter was nine months old, I opened my own dayhome so I could stay home with my two girls and run a program built on what I believe: kids are capable. In 2023, Capable Learners grew to support educators and families everywhere. And no, I'm not a babysitter. I'm an educator, nurse, chef, social worker and feelings coach, usually all before lunch.
